For van and truck ramps health and safety recommend no gradient greater than 30% which equates to 16.5 degrees.
To know that you are getting this right before you choose a ramp, if you measure the height of the vehicle bed where you intend to use the ramp, you can multiply this height by 3.3 to get your desired length.
For example if you were to be using it on a height of 700: 700 x 3.3 =2310 , so naturally the 2400 long van ramp would be perfect, as you have less than 16.5 degrees gradient and lets not forget this is the greatest gradient recommended, so any less is an advantage and recommended if you have the space to store it.

All our ramps are tested to a weight above that of the S.W.L but that is to ensure you are safe when using to the stated weight capacity, overloading the ramp is definitely not recommended and will void any warranty.

All our ramps have an anti-slip serrated surface (unless a different surface is required) that has undertaken slip tests to ensure it is safe for use in all weather conditions. Care should be taken to ensure thick surface residue such as mud is cleaned off after each use to allow the serrations to have full effect on next use.

All of our ramps have been designed to be used at all heights below the mentioned max working height, however it is not suitable to use them above that height as they would become too steep

Yes is the simple answer! We manufacture all the ramps ourselves in house in the heart of the midlands, so custom ramps are welcomed, it will cost slightly more than a standard ramp, but we can make it to whatever spec or look you want, even if you want a multi coloured ramp with flashing lights and siren.

Yes, all DnA Car ramps are supplied as a pair. We also supply bike ramps and motorcycle ramps too which are single ramps. If you’re ever unsure ask the engineer on the online chat for clarification.

When buying a pair of ramps, the Safe Working Load [SWL] is the total spread weight capacity across both ramps, if you have greater weight requirements, we can help design and manufacture a stronger ramp for your requirements.

This can very much depend on the type of car/s you intend to use the ramp for, we can assist with his if you can get in touch with the online engineer, call or send a request form with the model of your car, we can recommend a length for you. If space is an issue, we can manufacture the car ramps in sections to fit your storage space.

Depending on which connection type selected, some will require drilling location holes for the embedded hook pins to be slotted and secure it into place. Alternatively if you are using the rest on type connections, you can have eyelets added for strapping however all DnA car ramps have a strapping bar across the ramp underneath, roughly 600mm back for ratchet strapping to a point of contact on the end location to ensure it does not move away from the chosen connection point.

All DnA folding ramp are supplied installation instructions making them very easy to self-install.
The bolts for the fixing plate however will go in through the floor of your van at the rear and so you might need help when tightening the bolts, a two-man install is recommended. Please check for any pipes or wiring underneath to avoid damage to the van.

DnA manufacture a quick release ramp if required to which the ramp can be deployed on other surfaces for use outside the van. Standard fixed folding ramps will require removal of nuts and bolts to remove if necessary, so if the ramp is needed to be removed and used elsewhere, be sure to select the quick-release option when selecting your ramp.

Yes, the ramps can be used for wheelchairs, however the length would need to be longer for a better gradient for such operation. Helping you to achieve this we recommend getting in touch either with the engineer on the online chat or an enquiry form just to ensure you get the correct ramp for the task.

We can make you a ramp with any surface you desire if you need a specific type, we do strongly recommend our own flooring as it is slip tested and we know it’s up to the task of being safe, however we respect individual choice and will make the ramp however you’d like it.

All DnA ramps are made with high grade lightweight aluminum though some larger ramps can be heavy (Refer to the product specification page for weight of each ramp)
All fixed folding ramps can be fitted with assisted lifting gas struts/springs to help aid the heavier ramp, or just make the smaller models easier to handle.

Short answer no, you would require a heavier duty ramp, see forklift ramps for this.
All ramps have Safe Working Load [S.W.L] Label located on the description page and on the ramp itself, if ever you’re ensure locate this, if it’s missing off your ramp get in touch with your ramp information and we’ll advise capacity accordingly, overloading ramps will void any warranty.

Yes of course, the flooring is ant-slip and is still effective in wet conditions, just ensure any mud or other types of residue are removed regularly to avoid slipping hazards.

It’s really dependent on connection type, as the clear transition rest-on type will work to as low as the ramp is thick, so 75mm or 100mm depending on 750kg models and 1000kg models respectively and will work up to the max height stipulated for that model and not above.
Models that can work lower can be made on request.
Alternatively at those lower heights see wedge ramps.
